Top dogging carriages are used when more than one pass is desired on a particular log. It allows to saw off a slab, return, saw off a side board, come back turn the log , saw off a slab and so forth.

This allows a high level of flexibility with the benefits of a twin saw. Also shorter logs lend themselves very well to this kind of processing. It is used in processing cedar, or low grade hard wood logs and pallet stock manufacturing.

The machine can be offered in combination with a twin band saw or with a circular saw unit.
